The product comprises a blend of aliphatic and aromatic petroleum solvents. In addition, it contains a surfactant which makes the solution emulsifiable in water. It is therefore easy to rinse off with water.

Solvent based bituminous compounds used to prevent fishing nets and marine rope from becoming waterlogged. Ropes and nets are dipped into the compound which coats the fibers with a layer of bitumen making them waterproof.
